The North Macomb Soccer Club invites your team to participate in the 27th Annual Romeo Peachfest Tournament. This invitation outlines the tournament format.
TOURNAMENT DATES: LABOR DAY WEEKEND, Friday August 29 through Sunday August 31 2008. Note: In case of inclement weather, we would play games on Monday, Sept 1st, if necessary.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Round robin type of play will be scheduled. Championship games will be played for U12 and above only.
2. ONLY ROSTERS FOR THE 2008 FALL SEASON WILL BE ACCEPTED. Proof of age is required if challenged.
A limit of three (3) guest players will be allowed per team in all age groups. *See the tournament rules section for maximum roster sizes.
3. For U-9, 10, 11 the entry fee is three hundred fifty ($350.00) dollars American. For U-12 and above, the entry fee is four hundred ($400.00) dollars American.
The fee is payable to NORTH MACOMB SOCCER CLUB and must be received prior to July 16th 2008.
WE WILL BE LIMITING THE NUMBER OF TEAMS ACCEPTED, SO REGISTER EARLY!!!
APPLICATIONS and PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 16TH , 2008.
Accepted teams will be posted on the web site the first week of August. Teams wishing to withdraw from the Peachfest must do so in writting prior to August 1st. Any team withdrwing after August 1st will forfit 100% of their entry fee.
Teams not accepted will have their entrance fee refunded.
4. All under 9, 10, 11 players will receive a participation medal. There will be NO championship games for the Under 9, 10, 11 divisions.
The U12 divisions will have a Finals Match on Sunday and a team championship trophy will be awarded.
5. ALL TEAMS must be in possesion of the follwing items at registration and at ALL tournament games for ALL players, including guest players. A. Current state pass cards, official AYSO pass cards or CYO certificates. B. Signed and Notarized medical releases.
Registration for all age groups will be held on Friday, August 29th, 2008 at the Washington Community Center, 57900 Van Dyke (North of 26 Mile Road, on the East side of Van Dyke) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
6. All out of state or Canadian teams are required to have a permission to travel permit and noterized medical release forms to participate in the tournament.
7. Any roster changes or guest player additions must be made prior to registration. All changes are subject to the approval of the tournament director. Changes will NOT be allowed at registration or during the tournament.
8. Game balls will be furnished by NMSC.
9. Tournament Cancellation: In the event of tournament cancellation by NMSC, accepted teams will be refunded 50% of their teams entry fee.
10. Inclement Weather: Unless tournament play has been suspended due to severe weather conditions, coaches and their teams must report to the field ready to play as scheduled. Failure to appear will result in forfeiture of the game. Only referees, field coordinators, and/or the Tournament Director can cancel or postpone a game. If games are suspended, the schedule will be resumed as soon as possible that day or will be moved to the next day. NMSC reserves the right to shorten the length of games to complete the tournament.
DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES OR CONDITIONS BEYOND CONTROL, THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE OR North Macomb Soccer Club WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REFUNDS.
11. Refreshments and food will be available at each venue. NO BARBECUES, or OPEN FIRES WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE SOCCER FIELDS!!
12. The Annual Romeo Peach Festival will be going on during the tournament. The village will have parades, Art Displays, Carnival Rides, Craft Shows and various other family activities your team and parents are welcome to enjoy. Check the web at: http://www.mipeachfest.com/
13. Failure to comply with all rules listed will cause your application to be returned.
